Charles (aka Charlie Boy) is a handsome 18-month-old tabby who has traded his Murray Bridge colony-cat street-gang lifestyle for something softer, safer and more secure. He’s transformed from timid to trusting and after ten months in foster care, he’s ready to find his furever home. Charles is clever, gentle and has excellent manners. He keeps himself beautifully clean and has impeccable litter-tray etiquette. His favourite place to hang out with his foster is her bed -- he loves nothing more than a morning and evening snuggle, smooch and snooze. Charles sleeps through the night (mostly) and enjoys a chat, especially at meal-times. He likes to keep his distance during the day, but will pop up when his foster is having lunch or dinner – then he makes his joy known with head boops, enthusiastic foot-rubs and floor flops. He'll surface at odd times to sunbathe on a window and monitor neighbourhood activity and his foster's chickens. Food is definitely Charles’s love language. He adores Creamy Treats and will eat pâté from a spoon while giving you head boops. He knows the word “dinner” and exactly when it should be served. His hobbies include elite-level bug spotting, wand-toy play, ball chasing and alerting his foster to anyone coming up the driveway. He has recently become responsible for toilet duty. Charles is still learning to trust, so he needs a calm, routine-oriented, adults-only home with someone patient who will let him go at his own pace. He generally doesn’t like being approached and sudden movements will send him scurrying to his man cave for a reset. He definitely does not like being transported and is cautious around strangers. He's excellent company and almost a lap cat -- he just needs time! Charles has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated. He is currently located in Joslin, with his foster carer. His adoption fee is $90. If you think I’m as adorable as my foster family please click the button below and complete the application. SA Breeder DACO110502
