Purr machine incoming 😻 This sweet, funny, loving 18-month-old girl is looking for her forever home after a hard early life on the streets. She adores pats and cuddling up close to you and loves playing with twine (see pic taken after a play session!) and wand toys. Her meows sometimes sound like a duck quacking, which never fails to amuse. As a former street cat, Salem’s instinct is to hide when she hears a sudden loud noise or meets someone new. She will need time and patience to feel safe in her new environment, but once she does feel safe, she will reward you with lots of love and affection. The person who adopts her will be getting a very special companion indeed. On the streets, Salem was often chased off by other street cats, so she would do best with a friendly cat for company or a kitten/juvenile cat who she would no doubt love to play with. She hasn’t been introduced to dogs, but might be okay with a slow and careful introduction. She would do better with older children (10+) who can be quiet and gentle with her, especially at first. Salem is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and up to date with flea and worming treatments. She is currently located in Mitcham, and her adoption fee is $90.
