Bella
MEET BELLA!
Bella is the cutest, most adorable bright eyed little thing. And how adorable is her quirky little Poirot moustache!
She’s an easy-going, confident little girl that adapts easily to new environments. She’s sociable and friendly, and not scared of other cats, even those twice her size. She’s even a little cheeky and had her big foster brother scared of her for quite a while, despite her size.
Bella doesn’t love being picked up, though she’ll let you do it. But she loves snuggling in bed with her humans, or on the couch, and loves being kissed, stroked and patted during naps. She’ll even let you play with and squish her cute little paws while she sleeps. She spends more time snuggling with her foster mum, than any of the other cats do. Just count yourself lucky that you have the opportunity to adopt such a delightful little creature into your family!
She loves her food, especially the raw stuff, and growls adorably if you come too close when she’s chewing on a raw chicken drumstick. She growls WHILE she chews, which sounds like “Gr-am-am-am-am-am”. 😄 She will work away on that thing until there’s practically nothing left. She’s a tough eater.
In the 9+ months she’s been in foster care, she’s been absolutely no trouble at all, unlike her foster brothers. Her preferred scratcher is carpet though, so beware of that. As a bonus she has the cutest little voice and chirp which never fail to delight her foster family and fill their hearts with love and joy.
As Bella is young (just under 2yrs, we estimate) and sociable, and quite active and curious, she would be ideally suited to a family with at least one other cat, (or possibly a dog) which she can play with, and at least two humans, so she has lots of company. As well as an enclosed outdoor area, such as an inescapable yard.
If you’re good at cat training you could probably still train her to wear a harness so you can take her out. Something which she would probably enjoy, as she was lost and living on her own for a while before she landed with her foster family, so she’s used to exploring the world. Plus she’s not a scaredy cat. She’s not a stray though as she was desexed (but not microchipped, hence why her original home could not be located). She’s been in foster care for quite a while as her foster family tried to rehome her themselves at first, but have just enlisted Paws & Claws to help find her forever home.
Bella is a delightful little girl who deserves a wonderfully loving family. A family that will spend a lot of time with her, playing, snuggling and generally making her feel loved and adored.
Bella’s wishlist includes:
-a fully secured backyard with tall cat proof fencing, or alternatively a large property away from traffic, such as in the hills.
-at least one furry play mate, preferably of the feline variety
-a human at home most of the time
-a multiple human household, so there’s lots of people to give her love, attention and play time. (But preferably not a super noisy one with young children).
-regular playtime with humans
-a raw balanced species-appropriate diet (rather than dry or wet manufactured cat food).
-a warm human bed to sleep in and lots of lap time.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions. More than happy to discuss suitability or concerns.
Bella is located in Northfield. She is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated. Her adoption fee is $90.
