Ruff
He is curious of new dogs and will go up and sniff them. He has growled at one larger dog, but appears ok with others.
We haven’t seen him interact with cats, but he did come from a house with 15 cats.
He is curious of children, he will stop and look at children while on walks. He appears unfazed with runners, walkers, cyclists and motor vehicles while on walks.
Ruff has a calm temperament and rarely barks. He is still just settling with his foster carer and has whined and howled when left alone and at night. He settles down once he knows you’re nearby.
He is toilet trained. He doesn’t pull on the leash when going for walks. He enjoys walks and being outside and inside the home. He understands the commands sit, down and stay and he stands/sits still whilst getting bathed and also lets you dry him easily.
He is a couch potato and lays around for most of the day. He has growled a couple times – when being brushed on his ear and front elbow and at a larger dog. He eats dried dog food but is cautious of new foods. He isn’t interested in playing with balls or toys.
Ruff is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and has received worming and flea treatment. His adoption fee is $450.
Ruff is currently taking medication for a minor gum infection. He takes this well with his food.

All dogs start out on a 14-day trial period. Adoption fees are to be paid in full when dog is collected for their trial. If for any reason the trial doesn’t work out, the dog can be returned and your adoption fee will be refunded less the administration fee (specified on adoption contract, varies per dog). Adoption fees are only returned via bank transfer. We will welcome any of our dogs back into our care at any stage of their life however adoption fees will only be returned during the trial period
