Hi everyone! My name is Odin. I’m a 5-year-old male wire-haired Miniature Dachshund, and I’m on the lookout for my forever home! A little about me: I have so much love to give and absolutely adore a good snuggle. I get super excited when I see my harness and lead – walk time is the best time! I currently live in foster care with dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. While I get along with most animals, my playful style isn’t for everyone. If a cat runs from me, I’ll likely give chase and bark, so only confident, dog-savvy cats are a good fit for me. I’m not too keen on sharing my food bowl, so I'd do best with doggy housemates who respect my space at mealtimes. I might be happiest as the only pet, but would still love playdates with other friendly dogs! Now, about the humans: I’m best suited to a home with older children, as my enthusiastic playstyle might be a bit much for little ones. That said, I never bite or nip – I just love to nudge with my nose! I’ve met kids before and adored sitting in their laps for pats, snuggles, and even face kisses. When it comes to adults, I may bark at first – I take stranger danger seriously! But if you’re calm and bring treats, I’ll be your new best friend in no time. I’m well-trained, but I do have that classic Dachshund selective hearing! I also love my teddies and toys, so having plenty of those around would be pawsome.
