Say hello to Kiwi, a 6-year-old wire-haired Chihuahua with a big personality and an even bigger heart. When Kiwi first arrived in care, he was understandably anxious—but it didn’t take long for his affectionate and clever nature to shine through. Kiwi is full of spunk and spirit, true to his Chihuahua roots. He’s feisty, headstrong, and proud, so he’ll need consistent, positive training to help guide his big personality in the right direction. The good news? He’ll do anything for chicken 🐔. Kiwi enjoys his daily walks (they’re a must!) to help him burn off energy and stay balanced. After some adventure or cuddle time, he often takes himself off to his crate—his own little sanctuary—for a bit of downtime. He bonds deeply with his people and will protect them with all his might. He’s been living in foster care with cats and, while he can be tempted to chase, he’s shown he can learn with guidance and consistency. He’s good with children and handles their energy well, though he can be a little wary of other dogs—again, typical Chihuahua confidence and caution at play. May be best suited as an only dog. Kiwi is located in Campbelltown, South Australia. He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and flea and worm treated. His adoption fee is $650. Adoption fees are to be paid in full when dog is collected for their trial.
