Hi, I’m Boris! My foster mum says I’m a very special boy — and not just because of my big heart. When I was just a little pup, she noticed I was limping. After some visits to the vet and lots of care from the amazing team at Paws and Claws, I had surgery on both of my front elbows. I’m all healed now and no longer in pain, but I do walk a little differently — it just adds to my charm! Because of my special elbows, I’ll need a bit of extra care to keep me happy and healthy. Things like good-quality food, joint supplements (like fish oil, glucosamine or 4Cyte), and keeping my weight down will make a big difference. As I get older, I might develop arthritis, but there are treatments to help with that too — just like with people! I’m a gentle soul and would love a quiet home where I can enjoy a calm life. I'd be perfect for a retired couple, someone who enjoys a relaxed lifestyle, or a family who wants a loyal companion for camping trips and gentle walks. I’m not one for wild games, but I do enjoy carrying a toy around just for comfort. I get along great with people and other dogs. I’ve met cats too — I’m fine with them if they don’t run, but if they do, I might give chase (what can I say, I’m still a dog 😅). I know I might sound like a bit of extra work, but honestly, I’m really not. I’ll repay you every day with unwavering loyalty, sweet cuddles, and a whole lot of love.
