Adopt Potch

Potch is a 13 week old assumed Sharpei mix from Coober Pedy. The light of his foster carer's life, he was hand raised for a couple weeks upon his arrival to Paws and Claws and he has thrived ever since. Unlike the definition of Potch opal that he was named after, this Potch doesn’t lack any vibrancy in his life. He is FULL of life and oozes enthusiasm for everything he’s involved in. Potch loves to be roughed up and loved on, always busy and finding things to investigate. However he’s not at all destructive, he lovingly looks after his toys and belongings, especially his couch cushions that he’s claimed as his bed/emotional support pillows. Potch has been raised around cats and he LOVES them. He hopes his forever home might have an enthusiastic cat to play with like his current mate. He’s good with dogs, however he does have a dominant play style which isn’t always well received. Due to this careful consideration will need to be taken for him to receive to adequate socialisation in order to learn what is and isn’t socially accepted. He is also more than happy to be home alone, he doesn’t cry or bark just potters around and entertains himself. Potch has some limited vision and an underbite, whilst this doesn’t cause him any issues currently it is something to be aware of prior to adopting. Potch’s ideal home will have older dog savvy children as he can be a little mouthy with screaming kids. Not nasty, just playful and doesn’t always understand when enough is enough. His forever home must be committed to his ongoing training and mental stimulation. Potch is located in Murray Bridge. He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated.
