Meet Goldie and Harvey
Goldie and Harvey are two beautiful brothers, now 14 months old, who have had a rough start in life. They had to spend the first year of life on the streets until they were befriended and fed by a local man. He brought them to a vet when they became very sick with cat flu. It was then discovered that they both have FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus – which, with the exception of other cats, cannot be transmitted to humans nor other animals).
They have both recovered fully from the cat flu but the FIV they will have for life, and as such will need to be kept inside only and away from other cats that don’t carry the FIV virus.
Because of their early start in life, Goldie and Harvey can be very shy when you first meet them, but as soon as they have your trust, they turn into smoochy, loving sweethearts.
Harvey loves to flop on the floor in front of you for chin and chest tickles while purring contentedly. Sweet Goldie is a gentle soul, truly his brother’s keeper and will not leave his side when he’s feeling worried or unwell.
They love playing together and with their toys. When it’s time to relax in the evening, Harvey and Goldie’s favourite place is in your lap where they loved being showered with affection.
They are such special boys and looking for that special home together where they can be loved, feel safe and cared for like they truly deserve.
Goldie and Harvey are currently located in Holden Hill. They are both desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and their adoption fee is $50.
Please note: Goldie and Harvey must be adopted as a pair.
