MASON’S READY FOR ADOPTION – IT’S TIME!!!!
Hi everybody, Mason here again and now I’m ready for adoption!
Wow, what a ride it’s been – and look how much I’ve grown. It’s finally time and I’m ready for my new furever home.
For anyone who has not been following my story, I’ll give you the “Cliffs Notes” version. My name is Mason and me and my siblings were handed into Paws & Claws as weee barely week-old babies along with our mamma. Sadly, me (and 2 of my siblings) already had broken legs and we lost one of our sisters due to her injuries. Then we lost our mamma and we became bottle babies. So my brother and I started life with our tiny leggies in casts that had to be changed several times a week. While my brothers leggie healed well, unfortunately my leggie didn’t and became a big ol’ mess, so I went in for surgery (twice) to have it removed – but through it all we remained loving, sweet, happy babies determined to make it against the odds. Along the way we so sadly lost another sister and my brother (who’s leg had healed) due to freak and rare circumstances, so that leaves me, my twin brother Logan and tiny sister Raven and we are now looking forward to meeting our furever parents and going to our new homes.
So about me. Well I’m certainly a tough little chap and even with everything I’ve been through I’m still a very affectionate, happy little guy. I’m most likely only going to be a very small cat (I’m still small for my age – 19 weeks now) and even though I only have 3 legs, I don’t let that stop me from doing anything. I love to play and rumble around with my siblings but my favourite past time is following my foster mum around and I love nothing more than to be cuddled and carried around while I have my tummy rubbed. I’ll purr away contently and make air biscuits with my one front pawsie whilst laying upside down in her arms. At bedtime I love cuddles even more and my fav place to sleep is in a big kitteh tangle with my siblings right in my foster mum’s arms so she can pat us all until we fall asleep. I do like to make sure I’m the centre of attention and will wiggle my way between my siblings to make sure I get the most pats.
I have been on lots of road trips (mostly to see the vet doctors unfortunately) but also been visiting at retirement villages and friend’s places so I am comfortable in my carrier in the car and adaptable to new environments. I’m also still friends with the vets too. I’m very well behaved and don’t do naughty kitten things and am very respectful to other kittehs (I have lots of other foster siblings). I’ve met a doggo a few times – I’m not particularly sure, mostly I think because they are soooo much bigger than me, but I think I could be friends with a quite doggo given time.
I guess because of everything we went through, I’m very bonded with my twin bro and sister and would really like to find a home that will take us all – my theory is that both Raven and I are only little cats so we basically make up 1 full size cat, so really it’s only 2 not 3…. And if it’s not possible to have us all stay together I would really like to still have a home with one of my siblings. We really do rely on each other and certainly need the company of another kitteh or more. Also, while I can speed around the house on my 3 legs, I really need an indoor only home to keep me safe and healthy. I’m expected to lead a full and healthy life now that my bad leggie has been removed and I have no ongoing health concerns.
So that’s me. I’m really looking forward to the future and my new furever home with you, hope you come and meet me soon!
Love,
Mason
