Roach
“Foster Mama, tell me the story of how I was rescued again?”
Well little Roach, you were rescued along with your two brothers and two sisters after I found you under a bush in a feral colony I’d been working on for a long time. We tried as hard as we could to catch your Mama but we had no luck. So you came home with me at just one week old. You were the smallest of your litter at just 105g and I named you Roach after the horse in a show I was watching. Even I didn’t think it was a particularly nice name but it has proven to be a sign of what was to come. For you, little one, have had a hard road to get here. You didn’t grow like your siblings, you and your sister Ciri hardly gained weight at all and we’re constantly sick. Little Ciri passed away at just two weeks old and I thought you would soon follow. But you kept fighting. At 4 weeks old, your beautiful brother Geralt who was more than twice your size slipped into a coma, was unable to be brought out and didn’t make it. Something was wrong with your litter. You were all struggling but you the most. At 10 weeks old you only weighed 400g when you should have been a kilo. You sat still when your sister and brother played around you, only perking up for cuddles and your special meal times of extra delicious food. But through it all, you kept fighting, so I fought alongside you. Finally at 11 weeks old something happened and you began to grow and flourish and before my eyes you turned from a skinny, sick kitten into a gorgeous little cub ready to play and love and enjoy all the things you’d missed out on before. Now, little one, you’re all grown up. Still small for your age but strong and ready to find your furever home. Would you like that Roachy?
“Yes purrlease”
INTRODUCING ROACH!
Roach is a gorgeous pale ginger boy who looks like a tiny lion cub and has all the love in the world to give the right person (or people). He’s had a rough start and it’s left him with a few problems that mean he will need a home ready to give him back just as much love as he will give you (and believe me, he has a LOT to give)
Roach is looking for an indoor only home with another cat or multiple cats and an adopter that is willing to cuddle and kiss him multiple times a day. If you want a tiny lion who will snuggle you while you snooze and bring a smile to your face as he runs around the house like an little explorer, then Roach is your guy.
Roach is 16 weeks old and has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated. He is living in Willunga with his foster family and his adoption fee is $190.
