Hi my name is Ruby. (ID number A0310)

I am a 16 week old tabby girl with the prettiest stripy markings. My sister, Sapphire, and I are what rescue is all about. I came to Paws and Claws tiny and terrified. I hissed and spat and swiped because that is how I survived in the tough outdoor world. I never want to go back there. I adore the safety and warmth of a home. I love to zoom around a room, jump about and attack my toys. If I’m sleepy and settled I’ll purr like crazy when you stroke me. In fact I’ll even start purring when you enter the room, anticipating your pats.

I’m still not keen on being patted when you’re standing above me though. You’ll need to sit down with me and be patient so I learn more about human kindness. I may well even find out about laps but I’m not there just yet. So I’m looking for a quiet, loving home where I can keep growing.

I like friendship too – so maybe you could adopt me with my sister, Sapphire, or foster brother, Saucy? Or I can become your resident cat or kitten’s best friend? I’d prefer a home with no dogs or young children please. And I’m strictly indoor only where I’m safe.

Ruby’s adoption fee is $200 and she is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated. She is currently living at Crafers West.
