“Scars on the back are a swordsman’s shame” said another Zorro. Well I too, have a few battle scars but like Zorro none on my back. I’m about 5 years old (I can’t remember my birthday) who was helped because I was hurt. Once upon a time I think I had a family but I don’t remember who they were and why I’m not with them but I was on the streets until picked up and taken into care.
I’m still shy with people but I’m starting to remember what a family life is like. I’m scared of loud noises. I love other cats and I’m getting used to quiet dogs but young children and loud/boisterous dogs are too much for me. When I feel startled I might hiss but I do lean in for a comforting pat so please be patient with me. I need a cat whisperer and a family who will let me be a cat. Please let me settle in before you expect me to be comfortable to be on the couch with you. I’m not really a lap cat yet but I’m getting there !
I absolutely adore kittens. I’m currently being fostered with some little ones who I will play with, clean and even share my tea with. If you need someone to be Godfather to a kitten and teach them the ways of the world then I’m your man !
My time on the streets wasn’t perfect. Unfortunately I now am FIV Positive. I will live a long and healthy life. It just means I need to be kept safe inside or in a cat run, be given good quality food, be vaccinated yearly and if I get sick, take me to the vet. Same as every other cat. If you have other cat friends for me they can be vaccinated but they can’t catch FIV by sharing my bowl, litter tray, or by being around me. I’ve attached an FIV fact sheet to this to help clarify what FIV is.
Zorro’s adoption fee is $50 He comes desexed, micro-chipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated. He is currently located at Elizabeth.
