Zorro
Hey you. Over there. Yeah you. I see you reading this thinking how is he still there. It’s me Zorro. Still waiting for you to put that application in so I can join your family. I’m waiting for you.
I’m a 5 year old boy (maybe older but I can’t remember my birthday) who was helped off the streets. Once upon a time I think I had a family but I don’t remember who they were and why I’m not with them but I was on the streets for a long time.
I’m still shy with people but I’m starting to remember what a family life is like. I’m scared of loud noises (but getting used to them). I love other cats and I’m getting used to Dogs and kids too. When I feel startled I do hiss but I do lean in for a pat so please be patient with me. I need a cat whisperer and a family who will let me be a cat. Please let me settle in before you expect me to be comfortable to be on the couch with you. I’m not really a lap cat yet but one day I might be. I don’t like if you try pick me up. I’m not a big boy who can be carried around.
I do absolutely adore kittens. I’m currently being fostered with some little ones who I will play with, clean and Even eat with. If you need someone to be godfather to a kitten and teach them the ways of the world I’m your man!
My time on the streets wasn’t perfect. Unfortunately I now am FIV Positive. No this isn’t a death sentence. In fact I can live a long and healthy life. It just means I need to be kept safe inside or in a cat run, be given good quality food, be vaccinated yearly and if I get sick take me to the vet. Same as every other cat. If you have other cat friends for me they can be vaccinated but they can’t catch FIV by sharing my bowl, litter tray or by being around me. Let me have some kitty family to love. I’ve attached a FIV fact sheet to help clarify what FIV is.
I have been vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, flea treated and wormed. I’m currently being fostered in Elizabeth.
