Meet Bobby D0788, a striking 10 month old, tricolour Border Collie X Kelpie. Bobby is a very high energy dog, always on the go. Slowly he is learning how to self settle with the help of his crate, something his new family will need to continue with. He also has some basic obedience started, but this will require some work too. His new home will need to be able to provide him with a positive outlet for his energy to prevent any bad habits being learnt. He would excel in a home that attends agility/fly ball etc. Bobby also shows some promise as a potential working dog, most likely as a paddock dog – but would require training to become a reliable member of a working team and build his confidence. He can be dog selective, preferring to be around smaller, low energy dogs. He doesn’t like dogs in his face or in his personal bubble. Being a young 7 month old boy I am being quite the teenager and didn’t really get much learning in during my early days! But that’s okay because when you adopt me I will come with 2 free training sessions with Hayley at Ears Up Dog Training. My ideal adopter would have rottie breed experience and would have no young children, a nice big back yard and a human who is dedicated to putting in training with me. I can be okay with other dogs but at the moment I really need some help learning social skills as I can struggle to take breaks and give the other dogs a break. I was a single pup litter so I need some help catching up on socialising and learning what is acceptable play. I have shown some signs of guarding food however my trainer believes I will overcome this with continued training and boundaries.
