These cats are looking for their ‘furever’ home

Liana

Introducing Liana. Hi, my name is Liana and I am a beautiful, sleek, black, one year old girl with captivating eyes. I guess I am really a kind of indoor panther, but a lot more affectionate than those in the wild. I love to rub my head up against you to remind you that I need some attention. If you have been away for a few hours, I will greet you at the door when you arrive home. I will occasionally gently chirrup at you and my purr is subtle and quiet so I am not going to cause you any noise pollution. Sometimes I am so quiet, you might think I am not there and then I will suddenly appear by your side. My foster mum has told me I have a very expressive tail. It flicks and sways to let you know if I am feeling playful or just considering if it’s time for a nap on your bed. Some of my favourite things to do are explore, chase balls, and play with my ball run. I am not keen on the bigger cats I have met, but I think with a slow introduction I may adapt to …

Ashley

Introducing Ashley. Ashley was rescued by Paws and Claws from a backyard where he was living, desperate to find somewhere warm to stay. Thankfully the nice family there did feed him and kept him safe. Once in foster care, Ashley spent some time with a lovely lady who gave him loads of attention and love. As he has only been living in foster care for a short time, sometimes he does hide because he becomes a bit overwhelmed and frightened. He is just a little unsure of humans as he hasn’t had someone to care for him before. It will take a bit of time to completely relax in a new home but he is gradually learning that people are ok. Ashley is fine with being picked up but can’t be held for long before wanting to get down. Ashley has been introduced to a placid dog but may not like a jumpy dog and get really scared. He will benefit from a patient family who understand he will need some time to settle in and learn how to play. Ashley is 9 months old, toilet trained and has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated. His adoption fee …

Pepe

MEET PEPE My name is Pepe. Some of you may remember me needing a home a couple of months ago. Unfortunately my new home didn’t work out. 😿 Although I am super friendly, like to sit on your lap and sleep on your bed, I do like to go outside and that wasn’t possible. So can anyone give an 11 year old boy a home with an enclosed yard and make me one happy kitty 😺 Currently located Craigmore area. Pepe is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated. Adoption Fee: $40 If you would like to express your interest for Pepe, please complete an application with the link below: http://tiny.cc/cquest/?specific=Yes&catName=Pepe For more information, please message our Facebook page or contact us on 0416 364 228 or send an email to info@pawsandclawsadoptions.com.au.” Back to Cats for Adoption Sunday, September 13, 2020

Alley

Introducing Alley. Hi my name is Alley, I was rescued by Paws and Claws from a backyard where I was living as I was desperate to find somewhere warm and the nice family there did feed me. I then spent some time with a lovely lady who gave me loads of attention and love. I have only been living in foster care for a short time, so sometimes I hide because I am a bit overwhelmed and frightened. I am just a little unsure of humans as I haven’t had someone to care for me before. As I am still shy, it will take a bit of time to completely come out of my shell in a new home. I am gradually learning that people are ok, I am getting used to being picked up and I love sitting on a warm lap. I like other cats and enjoy cuddling and sleeping with them. I would very much like to go to a home where there is another cat I can make friends with for company. I have been introduced to a placid dog, who I didn’t mind at all, but I wouldn’t like a jumpy dog as I get …

Adonis

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Adonis (yes, just like the Greek God) I’m a very handsome young man, but due to a passport mixup at the embassy, they translated my birth records wrong, so we’re not sure if I am 6 or 8 ½ years old. But let’s be honest, age is just a number, and when you are as handsome and charming as me, does it matter if I’m slightly older? In my youth, I was a bit of a ladies man, and would often take on the other street boys to defend my ladies honour. Due to my fights, I have some scars and I am also FIV positive. But keep me inside or in a cat run, and that shouldn’t be a problem. I’m a bit wary around new people but once I know you, I will warm up. Now ladies it’s important to know, I’m a truly affectionate young man, and would prefer to keep your lap all to myself. But with careful analysis, I can see if your other four legged friends are worthy of sharing my space. I believe I am now a true aussie male, in that I don’t cook, …

Smokie

Our beautiful boy Smokie is STILL looking for his forever home… 😢 Hey team! My name is Smokie and I’m the gentle giant you need. If you want an independent but loving friend, I am right here. I am just over 2 years old and had a tough start in life which made me a bit scared of people. But I’ve been living with my foster family for a few months now and have become a really good kitty. 🐱 I like to be where the action is as I am curious but I am very calm. I do like a good scratch or a pat. I don’t like to be picked up but I will come sit next to you on the couch. I will enjoy your company and I especially adore the company of my foster sisters! We have so much fun together and I am very affectionate with other cats. Therefore, I’d love to be in a family with another friend to play and cuddle. However, I’m scared of loud noises so would not be suited to a home with dogs or young children. I am desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $90. You can …

Abby

Introducing Abby. Hey my name is Abby. I’m about 3 years old and I’m still getting used to the idea of living with people. I had a rough start to my life and was living outdoors but thankfully my health is perfect! I am quite shy towards humans but I will come and watch what you’re doing especially if it involves food. I get on really well with other cats and am a bit of a mum figure as I have had at least one litter of kittens. I like my own private space and I will be upset if it’s invaded. I only get upset when I feel trapped and I will not hurt you. I need someone very patient who will sit in the room with me and talk to me until I learn that they are safe, someone who understands that they need to respect my space and how to read my body cues when I’m stressed. Please do not try and touch me, just let me get used to you from a distance. I am really cute and have a plush fluffy coat and I make the cutest mews when walking about the house. I might …
