What a beautiful ‘Melody’!
Let me introduce you to Melody. A tabby cat that will let nothing stand in her way.
Melody is, how should I say this, ‘full of beans’. I suspect when I’m sleeping, she downs multiple energy drinks just to keep me busy during the day. She darts around the living room. Creating an obstacle course using coffee tables, couches and human faces. But, when the energy drinks run out, she’ll nudge her face against yours and curl up under your chin (even though she doesn’t fit) for cuddles and naps.
She enjoys the simple things in life, bottle caps, hair ties, her favourite being plastic straws. Anything small, that can be batted around, is pretty much fair game. Melody must have been an explorer in a past life. Possibly Whiskerfurr Columpuss or Fuzz Ball-Drin. The explorer blood still runs through her little veins. She loves to explorer inside the fridge and pantry, the tippy tops of book shelves and underneath the couch. She also love heights. On top of the fridge, door, walls, it all must be explored. Even if she’s explored it before, things may have changed so she better explore it again.
Two words I’d use to describe Melody, would be sassy and cheeky. She knows what not to do. Like climbing the clothes airer. She knows she’s not allowed, but she does it anyway. Then when I come to shoo her off, she rubs her face all over the clothes, just to push my buttons. She darts off, waits for me to get comfy on the couch, and does it again. It’s infuriatingly adorable.
Melody is a young, fearless, very energetic cat. Unfortunately she can not have another cat sibling (which I’ll explain below) but she would absolutely love a dog partner in crime. She’s currently fostered with two dogs. They play, and cuddle, and clean each other and it’s the peak of cuteness.
Now hopefully you’ve already fallen for her and the next slice of info, will be water under the bridge. Lovely Melody has Feline Leukemia Virus. Does this slow her down? Not even in the slightest. What it does mean, is she will need frequent check ups with the vet, she MUST be an indoor only cat and needs a high quality diet. Many other felv+ cats live long, happy lives but we can’t guarantee Melody’s time here on the flip side. She’s here, for a good time, her length of time is unknown.
But don’t let any of that deter you. Melody is an absolutely incredible cat. She will greet you when you arrive home from work. She will play with (older) children, and chances are, they’ll tire before she does. She will demand to sit on your lap while you’re on the toilet, and she’ll watch you while you shower.
She would be the perfect addition to any family. Any human who wants to give this Lara Croft style cat, the best possible life. Is that human you?
Melody is currently located in Penfield. She is 8 months old, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and, given her medical status, her adoption fee is $50.
