Marco D0187
MEET MARCO D0187
The face on this little guy really is enough to stop you in your tracks with that adorable little milk chin! Now 14 weeks old, Marco had a rough start to life out on the streets with his brother, Polo. Luckily the two little brothers sought refuge in a family garden and Paws & Claws Adoptions were contacted to help.
After living on the streets for the first 9 weeks of his life, Marco was so scared when he came into foster care. He would scamper or hiss to try and protect himself from everything because he never known what it felt like to be safe and loved. Within a few weeks spent in foster care Marco has learnt how nice it is to be a house kitten and enjoys his new life so much more than the streets.
He has been so brave learning that being carried and cuddled is really nice! Now his foster family have to stand still whilst Marco brushes his tail around their ankles in circles purring and calling to be picked up. He is a funny little character and will often hop up on his back legs like a little meerkat to get a better view of anything that catches his eye. The true way to Marco’s heart is definitely with food so he can often be found sitting next to the fridge waiting for dinner time to arrive.
A home that has pets or would consider having an additional cat down the track would be so great for Marco. He loves bonding with the cats and dogs in his foster home whilst respecting their space when they need a rest from playing. Somewhere he can chill out and follow somebody around when they’re home would be great. Marco is fine with being left at home whilst you go to work as long as you can spend time interacting with him regularly when you get home. He’s a bit of a sooky baby so somebody that would dote on him would make Marco so happy.
Marco has learnt different commands to come when called and for dinner time. Marco’s new owner can use these prompts to help let Marco know what is going on and when his dinner is ready. He is a very clever little kitten that quickly picks up on training if his new owners want to continue with this.
If you can offer Marco an indoor only home, his foster family would love to hear from you.
Marco has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea treated.
