Meet Ginger! (A0623)

This special boy is 4 years young and will become your devoted little buddy once he settles in and trusts you. He is an absolute glutton for head scratches and pats on the bum – after enough he’ll simply collapse on his side and demand belly rubs. He likes to be picked up and held for a bit and usually leans into you for optimal lovin’.

Ginger grew up with a many-cat household so wasn’t used to being the centre of attention, but with his foster dad’s loving care he’s become an absolute cuddle bug who will sit on you or beside you and purr non-stop. While Ginger is an on you/beside you cat,he is also perfectly happy to find his favourite perch and curl up by himself. He is peaceful and undemanding, but will occasionally decide that lovin’ is his heart’s desire and let out his sweet little meow so you know he’s craving cuddles.

Part of Ginger’s special beauty comes from an old injury as a kitten which causes his back legs to sometimes go a bit wonky. This doesn’t stop him from jumping on your lap, your bed, or on a window ledge where he can watch the world go by. However, it does mean that he needs to be an indoor only cat, or have an secure outdoor cat run to keep him safe and sound. Ginger loves and is used to other friendly cats, but is very scared of dogs and has made it clear that this is a non-negotiable for him.
Because of his background he will be a bit of shy boy around anything new, so be prepared, if you want to come and meet him, that it will likely be fleeting, BUT he has come such a long way from the terrified little boy he was six months ago to the loving best friend he now is. Once Ginger trusts you, he will be your best friend. He will thrive as an only cat, or with another kitty for company and play time.

Ginger LOVES water and will need a constant supply. He loves to play and splash around the water bowl with his paws. He loves his food, but is low maintenance as wet food or even gourmet treats from the dinner table don’t seem to interest him. A constant supply of dry food and water will keep him happy and content.

Ginger is desexed, vaccinated, mircochipped and flea and worm treat. He is currently staying with his foster dad in Broadview. Again, know that if you want to come and meet him – and you definitely want to meet this boy – he’s going to be very shy and you may only get brief moments. Rest assured that this is normal for him when things are unexpected, but when he feels safe and trusts you, he will follow you wherever you go.
