Ginger and Megs
Introducing Ginger A0061 and Megs A0062!
Hi we’re Ginger and Megs – get it – we go together. We were found living rough on the streets in a semi-rural area and were lucky enough to have been brought into care with Paws & Claws. We had a little trouble adjusting to indoor life and for a while were known as the “liquid” kittens cause we were able to get out of anything and every cage, room or cat run that we were put in. But those days are long gone and we now LOVE the indoor only lifestyle. We are still a work in progress so we will need a very special and loving home to call our own. Here’s a little about each of us:
Hi there, I’m Ginger and I’m a very intelligent little man. I can work out exit points and hidey holes in just about any location I find myself in. As my name indicates, I’m a ginger tabby and just turned 12 months old. I’ve adjusted to indoor life very well and love having heaps of furry friends around. I LOVE food and will happily sit by your feet and demand snacks and I’m quite vocal at teatime. I love to sleep on the bed and sometimes will sneak up onto my hoomans back to curl up. I love to play with toys and am especially fond of toys on a stick and tunnels to play in. When I do cuddle my hooman, I do enjoy laying back in their arms and will purr away making air biscuits.
Hey, I’m Megs and I’m also very intelligent, I’m a very pretty girl and mostly black except for a few little white toes on one foot and a frosting of white furs on my chest and tummy. My brother and I are very resourceful in finding ways to avoid contact when possible – he likes to think he’s smarter than me but he usually ends up following me through things. I’m just a little bit more reserved than my brother in some ways but unlike my brother, I like to be patted while I eat my dinner and food is a great way to interact with me. Now that I’ve adjusted to indoor life, I love to play with toys and lay out in the sun in the cat run. As long as I have my brother, I’m quite independent.
And now a word from our carer: These 2 kittens are both adorable and sweet, there is no aggression in them but they are still needing help in feeling okay by being touched and picked up. Once you have them, they both relax and cuddle in, with little motors going the whole time. They just have a problem with people approaching them to do this and will need continued work from their new owner to make them comfortable. Otherwise, they are both well-adjusted and happy kittens and not much bothers them. Once they have overcome their fear, they will be awesome additions to the right family.
Ginger and Megs are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, toilet trained, worm and flea treated. They are located near Murray Bridge and their adoption fee is $90 each.
